MindDAO is fully compliant with GDPR and other global data protection regulations. In line with the architecture of the VANA ecosystem, individual users maintain full self-custody and ownership of their data. At no point does MindDAO take custody of users’ personal data or process it in a manner that is outside of their control.

• Data Ownership and Storage: Users are the sole owners of their data and are responsible for designating secure storage locations. MindDAO supports the use of external storage solutions such as Google Drive or Dropbox, but the responsibility for data upload, storage, and maintenance lies solely with the user.

• Data Encryption and Control: Data contributed to the DAO is encrypted, and users control the keys required to decrypt their data. These keys are managed through the user’s wallet, utilizing proprietary technology provided by the VANA ecosystem. This ensures that only the user has access to their data unless explicitly consented otherwise.

• Data Sharing and Consent: When data transactions are made—whether to share aggregated insights or provide access to data for other purposes—it is done only with the explicit consent of the user. MindDAO ensures that no personal data is processed, stored, or transferred without user authorization.

MindDAO’s commitment to privacy ensures that all participants retain sovereignty over their data, making the project fully GDPR-compliant and aligned with global privacy standards.
